GARDEN TOURS
Songbird is a garden for all seasons and is open daily from 10am till 5pm (all year) by appointment.

It covers over 3 hectares and in Spring there are daffodils everywhere, a bluebell wood, and rhodendrons and camellias producing glorious displays.

In summer the dahlias are a riot of colour and beside the long drive, agapanthus and the most gloriously deep blue hydrangeas you’ve ever seen complement butter yellow golden elms that line the drive.

In Autumn the deciduous trees are at their best and in winter NZ natives come into their own, with rocks, water features and garden art providing plenty of interest.

Sometimes on a sunny day a south-easterly scud will paint rainbows everywhere, even your own personal rainbow that follows you as you walk!

Garden tours cost $4.00 for adults. Children are admitted free and love to explore to see if they can find the secret path that is the home of many fairies.
